Privacy choices

Little Waves does not sell personal data or show advertising. The app's first-party product analytics receives the child information listed in the Privacy Policy. Install attribution is separate; no child information is sent to an advertising or attribution service.

Health-data consent and family sharing

The app asks for health-data consent for each child separately. You can refuse and still use the complete due-date-based core. Settings → Privacy & data withdraws that child's local health-data consent and removes the related health records from this device; the profile and written story Diary entries remain. This does not erase information already received by product analytics.

Sharing a child is a second, separate choice. The plan owner agrees to share each child, and each invited caregiver accepts that child for themselves. Joining a family alone shares no child.

Family sharing → Stop sharing, health-data consent withdrawal or deleting the shared child ends your sharing. An owner stops sharing the whole child; a caregiver withdraws and erases their own uploads, including shared stories. Uploads stop at once, but server erasure may remain pending until it is confirmed. Other members' contributions remain when a caregiver withdraws. Downloaded or exported copies cannot be recalled.

Leaving a family or being removed ends access and sharing consent. Earlier contributions remain until a separate withdrawal, deletion or owner stop-sharing action; former members can contact support to request their removal.

Personal insights and notifications

Personal insights in Settings pauses the selected child's personal interpretation; it does not change saved records, consent, subscription or analytics. Logging still requires active consent for that child.

Allow or deny notifications in iOS Settings. They are local reminders scheduled by your own device; Little Waves holds no push token. Your baby's name is off in notification text by default and appears only if you enable it in the app.

Analytics and iOS tracking permission

Product analytics receives birth dates, ages, gender if given, early-birth details and the number of children regardless of the local health-data consent choice. Observation events are sent when consent-gated entries are saved. Analytics never receives a child's name, the due date, measurements, anything you typed or photos. There is no in-app switch that stops product analytics or attribution. Neither Personal insights nor health-data consent withdrawal is that switch.

On iPhone and iPad, Apple's App Tracking Transparency choice controls access to the advertising identifier. If you decline or iOS restricts tracking, Singular still starts without that identifier and receives install/device and app-open information. It never receives child information. You can change the answer in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Declining changes no app features.

To request that usage, attribution or child analytics records be stopped or removed, write to support@littlewavesapp.com. Account deletion requests deletion of the account-linked product analytics profile and events; it does not delete records held by Singular. For those, write with the subject Delete my attribution data.

Export and deletion

Settings → Export everything opens Diary and its Book of Firsts export. Settings → Save a copy of your history offers text and JSON copies for the selected child. Saved history stays readable and exportable on every plan. Exports exclude photo files, activity-completion history, account/billing data, consent records and app settings. They are manual copies, not automatic backup.

Settings → Account → Delete account requests account deletion without cancelling store billing or deleting local child records. An owner's deletion erases the family and its shared children; a caregiver's deletion erases their uploads. Analytics deletion can still be finishing. Settings → Baby profile → Delete child data from this device is the separate action for local child records.
